ABOUT OUR DIRECTORS
Linda Buset is a longtime volunteer. At 16, she began working for the Nutley Sun, continuing there in a variety of capacities for 11 years. After graduating from Nutley High School, she received a Business Administration degree at Caldwell College. Thirty years ago, Buset established All Secretarial Services, now known as Virtual Assist, which provides services to small and home-based businesses and specializes in social media marketing and public relations. She presents seminars on virtual assistance and is a strong advocate for women’s rights. Buset has volunteered at the Spring Garden School PTO, for which she was president for three years, and was the adviser to Vincent Methodist Church’s youth group for 12 years. She has also done volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, HackensackUMC/Mountainside Hospital, Clara Maass Medical Center, Relay for Life, Nutley Family Service Bureau, The Cody Foundation, Scarpelli Civic Association, Nutley Historical Society, Kingsland Manor, VFW Auxiliary Post 493, The Nutley Municipal Alliance and The Nutley League of Women Voters. Linda also served on the Nutley Historic Preservation Committee and as chairwoman of the Nutley Chamber of Commerce’s Publicity and Media Committee. Buset and her husband of 46 years, Bruno “Butch” Buset, are the parents of three children and grandparents of four.
James P. Byrne
“J.P.” joined the Nutley Chamber in 2014 and will be a liason between business owners, the Chamber, its members and other town departments. J.P. is a life-long resident of Nutley and is also a past graduate of Nutley High School. His family has owned and operated local businesses for 15+ years. He is a Financial Consultant with AXA Advisors and specializes in working with business owners, individuals & families. His specialties include financial planning, employee benefits, retirement planning, asset management(mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etc.), life insurance, estate planning, education planning (529 plans), long term care & disability insurance. J.P. believes in the town he grew up in and also believes in the businesses that reside within. His goal is to improve the local businesses and increase their exposure throughout the area.
Over 20 years of Executive Level Banking Experience. Joined Proponent Federal Credit Union in 2007 to implement all Business Products and Services. Her current focus is on the Growth of Commercial Lending and Business Development in New Jersey and North Carolina Markets. A Member of the NCoC since 2007 & since volunteering is one of her passions, she took the opportunity to become Treasurer of the NCoC Board in 2013 to be more involved and to be able to make a positive change for the businesses in the Nutley Community. Other passions include Family, Golfing, Skiing and Cultural Events.
Luther has been a resident of Nutley for over 45 years. He served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps during Viet Nam and retired from the Newark Police Department as Captain after 30 years on the job. While working for the Police Department, he attended evening classes at Rutgers University for 17 years, receiving 5 degrees including an MBA, and became a Certified Financial Planner. He started working part time helping police officers with their retirement plans and founded what is now Engler Financial Services, 363 Centre St., almost 30 years ago. He is a member of Nutley Post #70 of the American Legion and is past president of the Nutley Lions Club. He is also an active member and past president of the Nutley Chamber of Commerce.
Eric Y. Francais, founder and principal of e-outbox, LLC, is a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City. His career spans over 20+ years in the publishing, corporate ID and web design fields. After 10 years of creative direction, Eric took the Creative Director and Marketing Manager position in the email acquisition division of infoUSA for the following 5 years. A resident of Nutley for the last two years, Eric founded e-outbox, LLC in 2010 in order to provide web design and digital marketing to independent businesses in Essex county and surrounding areas.
Joyce Frazza came to Nutley in 1979. She graduated from Nutley High School in 1981 and raised her 2 daughters here in town. Joyce joined the Nutley Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and in 2013 joined the Board of Directors as co-chairperson for memberships. She has been reaching out to new and old businesses and promotes the benefits of being a Nutley Chamber of Commerce member. Joyce entered the Telecommunications industry in 1995 working for various Telecom carriers. In 2004 Joyce created her own Telecommunications Consulting firm, Voyce Enterprises, Inc. She provides the most cost effective, efficient solutions for businesses and assists them with all of their Telecommunications needs.
Kim – Michelle Garner, PT, CSCS, achieved her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Mercy College in 2000. Kim has become certified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the NSCA Certification Commission. The CSCS certification is for professionals who design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for athletes. She established Absolute Rehab Adult and Pediatric Physical Therapy in November of 2010. Kim is active in our community, from involvement in the Veteran’s & Military Affairs to catering to the towns needs by doing charity and Home Care services. Kim joined the Chamber in 2011 and serves the board as a healthcare professional. She is a proud member of the Nutley Chamber of Commerce, the Suburban Chamber of Commerce, Nutley Veterans Affairs and Nutley Women’s Networking Group.
Andrew Garruto is a lifelong Nutley resident. He graduated Nutley High School in 1982, opened his law practice here in 1997, and renovated his office in 2007 where he maintains his practice with partner Joseph Calabria. Andy is an active member and officer of the Nutley Chamber, which he believes is one of the many strengths in the Nutley community.
Dan was a resident of Nutley for 18 years, now resides in Lyndhurst, his daughter is a sophmore at NHS. Has been in commercial banking/business development for over 20 years. While working locally, his passion has been community development. Dan has been active in the Chamber since 2010 as the business liason between the chamber members and other town departments. He is also a member of the Nutley Lions Club since 2011. Currently owns DMR Associates, LLC which consults businesses with their credit and other business needs. He is a strong believer not only shopping in Nutley but also referring business to existing members of the Chamber. Dan currently works with Parkway Auto Body, which is a large direct repair facility, in the sales and marketing department.
Pasquale Pisani joined the Nutley Chamber in 2010 and helped promote its membership to new and current members. In 2011, he joined the board and helped with ensuring Chamber members paying their dues in a timely manner. Since then, he joined the Ribbon Cutting committee to help promote new businesses in Nutley and encouraged the Chamber board to redesign the Chamber’s website. Pasquale still enjoys the Ribbon Cutting role today. Professionally, Pasquale is a financial advisor & fiduciary with Kingsview Asset Management. With more than 19 years of financial services experience, he offers full-service investments, annuities and life insurance. He has a genuine passion in helping people achieve their financial goals.
Mike Zippo is Race Director of the Nutley Chanmber of Commerce 5K. He has been a member for 16 years. He is in business with his brother where they have three retail stores in Belleville, East Bruswick and North Plainfield. His first store opened in 1974. His goal for the race is to bring people in to our community, so they can see how wonderful a place Nutley is.
Angela joined the Chamber in 2014 and the Board of Directors in 2015 and will be a liason between business owners, The Chamber, its members, and other town departments. Angela is the co-owner of Supportive Choices LLC, a New Jersey Support Coordination agency, serving adults with developmental disabilities to identify and connect to federal and state funded services in their local community. Angela has 20 years experience working with special needs and believes that all people deserve to be fully included in their local community. Angela has lived in Nutley for that past 7 years and feels that the township is a wonderful place to live, work and own a business in.
