The Rotary Club of Nutley is an organization of local business and professional people united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Nutley Rotary was chartered on Dec. 22, 1922. Nutley Rotary provides scholarship and vocational awards to graduating seniors, dictionaries to all Nutley third graders and has sponsored the New Teacher Welcome Reception for 48 years. The Welcome To Nutley Signs, The Rotary Gazebo in Kingsland Park, the hosting of foreign exchange students and the famous, annual Beefsteak Dinner are just a few of Rotary’s activities. Nutley Rotary currently meets for lunch at the American Bistro on Thursdays, at 12:15 pm. On the 3rd week of each month we hold an evening meeting at either Bosphorus or the backroom at Ralph’s. Our current president is Ro Costa, our president elect is Ben Costa and our Vice President is Dorothy Huey. Barbara Hirsch is our Secretary and Bob Peters is club treasurer this year. Joanne Salvio of Boiling Springs will become treasurer next July 1st.
