Local Nutley resident Khristopher Reina purchased the historic Park Pub in 2018, and with the help of local designers and contractors he transformed the 6,500 sf, 2-story restaurant into “The Oakley – Kitchen & Cocktails“, an elegant yet comfortable gastropub, which opened for business in May 2019. The gastropub is named after the famous feminine sharpshooter Annie Oakley, a Nutley resident in the late 1800’s (when she wasn’t traveling with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show). Khris wanted to bring excellent food, drinks, atmosphere and music to Nutley, so he hired executive chef Jeffrey Galan to create a dynamic menu full of creative spins on traditional comfort pub food. Chef Jeff sprinkles in a handful of original special dishes on the weekends, for the “foodies” out there. The bar has 12 beers on tap, including many craft beers, plus a full and diverse selection of wines and liquors. The specialty cocktails include Annie’s Bulleit (The Oakley’s take on an Old Fashioned) and The Ultimate Gun Powder Gin & Tonic. Live music is on schedule most Fridays and Saturdays – check the calendar. The second floor, which just opened in September 2019, has its own bar, bathrooms and dining area, perfect to host your private event. We are open seven days a week, starting at 11am in the morning. We leave when the last patron leaves, but no later than 2am. So stop by for a drink, and stay for the food and music.
