Nutley Family Service Bureau – Programs & Workshops:
Thursday, February 21, 28 – 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Kids Social Skills Workshop (Ages 9-12) – In this free program, elementary school children learn how to interact in ways that are optimally communicative and socially appropriate with a focus on skills for effective listening, reciprocal responsiveness, self-reflection, behavior modulation and heightened sensitivity to others. The participants engage in child-centered activities such as: game playing, balanced competition and creative arts. Saturday, April 13th – 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm – A Night At The Races – A benefit for Nutley Family Service Bureau, will be off and running at the Nutley Elks Lodge. The event ticket includes a pasta dinner, beer, wine, soft drinks, and horse race tickets. Win terrific tricky tray prizes! It promises to be an event to remember with audience participation and viewing actual races! Grab your rosaries, it’s swinging ’60s Pittsburgh and the Sisters of St. Veronica’s are dying to meet you! An outrageously comic homage to all your favorite films with nuns, “The Divine Sister,” by Charles Busch, marks the first show of 2019 for Nutley Little Theatre. The outrageous comedy is directed by George Seylaz of Belleville and features the talents of Debra Carozza of Wyckoff, Patrick Horan of East Orange, Kristie McLain of Verona, Nick Pascarella of Hohokus, Gina Sarno of Nutley, and Judy Wilson of Fort Lee. This show contains some adult language and situations. Tickets are $20, with a $2 discount for senior citizens and students (for matinees only). Nutley Little Theatre stages its productions at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place, Nutley, located off Brookfield Avenue (one block east of Franklin Avenue) in the heart of the Erie Place Historic District.

Luna Wood Fire Tavern – St. Patrick’s Day Parade:
Saturday, March 2nd – 11:00 am & Sunday, March 3rd – 1:00 am – Nutley’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Saturday March, 2nd! Luna is the best place to post-up and watch the parade. Community School In Nutley – International Family Dinner:
Friday March 8th – 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm – Join us for our International Family Night Dinner, located at 100 Vincent Place, Nutley, NJ 07110. The Community School in Nutley was founded in 1967 and is sponsored by five area Christian Churches. The school is guided by a community-minded Board of Directors whose members are drawn from each sponsoring church. The school is a place where Christian values are fostered and other religions and cultures are warmly embraced and respected.

Rotary Rosbeef and Tricky TrayRotary Club Of Nutley – Beefsteak and Tricky Tray:
Saturday, March 23rd – 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm – The funds raised are used to support many Nutley residents and activities. Dictionaries are provided to all third-grade students in our town. Nutley Rotary sponsors several youth sports teams. We are in the 61st year of hosting a dinner to welcome new teachers to the Nutley School System. Each year we provide a two-week campership to a local Special Needs resident to attend Camp Merry Heart in Hackettstown, NJ. Rotary funds a Senior Citizen luncheon each year, and over the years our college scholarship program has provided more than $320,000 to help Nutley High School students with their college costs. We are a major supporter of Rotary International’s global effort to eradicate polio from the earth. The event will take place at 44 Park Avenue, Nutley.

The Phoenix Center – 2019 Casino Night:

Thursday, February 21st – 6:30 pm – Saving On Your Taxes – 
Program at the Nutley Public Library: A free seminar about the new tax law changes and how they will affect your income tax returns will be presented at the Nutley Public Library. Jonathan Barrett, Certified Financial Planner with AXA Advisors, will discuss these recent tax changes and their effects on your tax returns and future financial planning. Saturday, March 2nd – 10:30 am – Dr. Seuss’s Birthday – Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday with his classic stories, silly games and a fun craft! No registration required. Open to all ages.
Monday, March 4th – 6:45 pm – Hooked-On-Books Reading Club – Hooked-On-Books Reading Club is for students entering the grades 4-6. Each month we will read and discuss a selected book, play a game and enjoy snacks. The monthly selection can be picked-up and borrowed at the Circulation Desk. Please read the book prior to attending the meeting.
Monday, March 4th – 7:00 pm – DISH! The Monday Night Cookbook Club – Each month patrons will choose, prepare at home, and share a DISH! From a selected cookbook. We will then gather to sample each others recipes, discuss our cooking techniques, and share stories and culture.

Thursday, March 14th – 7:00 pm – Book Talk and Signing with Anthony Buccino – Meet Anthony Buccino as he reads from, and discusses the recently released volume in his series: Nutley Notables: The Men and Women Who Have Made a Memorable Impact on Our Hometown Nutley, New Jersey. This volume co-mingles the people with the history of Nutley, and you are bound to discover a few surprises. Volume Two pays a lot of attention to the many women who volunteered their time and talents to make Nutley a great hometown as well as highlighting major league sports talents who lived in town and left pleasurable memories with children and adults.
