Monday, February 7th – 7:00 pm (In-Person Program) – DISH! The Monday Night Cookbook Club – Members will choose, prepare at home, and present a soup or stew DISH! We will then gather in person to discuss each other’s recipes, your cooking techniques, and share stores and culture. Tuesday, February 8th – 7:00 pm (Virtual) – Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency with Lindsley Medlin – In this on-line presentation, you will learn about bitcoin and why it is important. You will get an understanding of how bitcoin and cryptocurrencies work, and how to get started with bitcoin yourself. You don’t need to be a technical person. The class is designed for beginners. Lindsley Medlin is a Certified Blockchain Professional who has studied bitcoin in depth, and is the Founder of the NJ Blockchain Center. Mr. Medlin is a published author, speaker and consultant. Please note this is an on-line program and you must register in advance at nutleypubliclibrary.org/bitcoin.

Thursday, February 10th – 4:30 pm (Virtual) – Meet & Greet with Author Christina Baker Kline – Join the Friends of the Nutley Public Library for a virtual Meet & Greet with Author Christina Baker Kline. A #1 New York Times bestselling author of eight novels, including The Exiles, Orphan Train, and A Piece of the World, Christina Baker Kline is published in 40 countries. Kline’s books are available for purchase and can also be borrowed from the Nutley Library. This event will be held via Zoom. Friday, February 11th – 3:30 pm (In-Person Program) – Origami Fridays – Drop in the Children’s Room for free origami instruction from teacher Nobuko Okabe! No registration required. All supplies provided. For all ages (children under 10 must have adult supervision).
Saturday, February 12th – 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (In-Person Program) – Art Association of Rutherford Exhibit – The Art Association of Rutherford will be hosting an exhibit featuring current work in a wide variety of formats. This exhibit will be on display for the month of February and there will be an open reception to meet the artists.
Monday, February 14th – 3:15 pm (In-Person Program) – Anti-Valentine’s Day – Anti-Valentine’s Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated among friends and no significant others. Join in on the fun, make black candy roses and funny conversation heart magnets! Grades 6-12. No registration required.
Wednesday, February 16th – 3:15 pm (Take-Home Kit) – Teen Maker’s Club – Do you love art, technology, and all things crafty? Join in and make a special project with friends or work on your own personal project! For grades 6-12. No registration required!
Thursday, February 17th – 7:00 pm (In-Person) – DIY Jewelry Making Silver Beaded Dangle Earrings – Nutley adults are welcome to attend this fun and in-person crafting program. If necessary, the event will move to a virtual session on Zoom. All supplies are included, and registration is required on our web-site and limited to 20 people.
